- Right Side of the Engine: Check the right side of the engine block, near the bottom, close to where the engine meets the frame. The serial number is usually stamped directly into the engine case. It’s a shorter alphanumeric code (not the 17-digit VIN) specific to the engine.
- Possible Alternate Location: On some Yamaha ATVs, the engine serial number may also be found on the left side of the engine case, near the crankcase or oil filter area.
